How to convert a weekly testosterone dose into units

Testosterone esters (cypionate, enanthate, propionate) are supplied at a concentration in mg/mL. Converting your prescribed weekly dose to a per-injection volume just needs that concentration and how many injections you split the week into.

  1. Enter the ester concentration from your vial label — commonly 200 mg/mL for cypionate or enanthate.
  2. Enter your prescribed weekly dose in mg, exactly as your provider set it.
  3. Set how many injections you split the week into — the tool divides the weekly total evenly.
  4. Read the mL and units to draw per injection on a U-100 syringe, then log each shot.

Worked example: 100 mg/week of 200 mg/mL, split into two

A 100 mg weekly dose of a 200 mg/mL ester, taken as two injections a week:

Splitting a dose across more injections lowers the volume per shot but does not change the weekly total. Enter your own numbers above.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a testosterone dose in mg to syringe units?

Divide your per-injection dose (mg) by the ester concentration (mg/mL) to get millilitres, then multiply by 100 to get U-100 units. For example, 50 mg of a 200 mg/mL ester is 0.25 mL, which is 25 units. Enter your own numbers above and the calculator shows every step.

What concentration is testosterone cypionate or enanthate?

It varies by product — read the mg/mL from your vial label. 200 mg/mL is common, but 100 mg/mL and other strengths exist. The concentration is what turns your prescribed mg into a volume, so use the exact figure on your label.

Does splitting my weekly dose change the total?

No. Splitting the same weekly total across more injections only lowers the volume per shot; the weekly amount is unchanged. Whether and how to split is a decision for you and your provider — the tool only does the arithmetic.

Is this TRT calculator medical advice?

No. It is an educational estimation tool. It converts the numbers you enter and shows its work; it never prescribes, diagnoses, or recommends a dose or schedule. Always follow your licensed provider’s instructions.
